Paul reminds us that we are to sow in the Spirit, not growing weary in doing what is right, so that we may reap at harvest time. Jesus sent his messengers into the world without purse, bag, and sandals, a reminder that the mission of the church relies upon the generosity those who hear the Good News that the kingdom of God has drawn near. As we proclaim Christ’s peace in this world, we boast only in the cross and work of Christ for all people.
