The Children’s Ministry mission is growing young disciples in Christ by providing a variety of faith-based activities and fellowship with a focus on young children and their families.
Godly Play
Our program for elementary school students uses the Godly Play curriculum (www.godlyplay.org), a Montesorri-based, interactive series of lessons that teach Bible stories and encourage children to use their imaginations while learning. Godly Play is temporarily paused.
Children’s Sermon
Older children, who attend church, are invited to the front of the church each week for the Children’s Sermon to listen to a meaningful message from Pastor Tim.
Nursery Facilities
Each Sunday morning during worship services, parent volunteers offer love and care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. St. Mark’s is pleased to offer a safe and fun nursery facility and encourages families to visit the Nursery and meet the volunteers personally.
Our Children’s Ministry has occasional faith-formation activities, including a children’s choir (“Cherub Choir”). Children of all ages are invited to participate in the annual Christmas play and in intergenerational Sunday School events like God’s Work, Our Hands Sunday in September and the Advent Wreath Celebration in December.
