St. Mark’s youth had a wonderful summer!  Check out a pictorial recap of our events below.

On June 2, we celebrated with four graduating high school seniors.

On June 9, mission trip participants met for a fellowship lunch, group building activities, and a discussion on what to expect.

At the end of June, we traveled to Morehead City, NC to help with ongoing Hurricane Florence relief. What an amazing trip! You can read more about it in our Youth Blog (see menu above).

On July 2, several youth met to take in the new Spider-Man movie before heading to TCBY to continue our fellowship.

On July 13, youth served as helpers for our one-day Vacation Bible School: Christmas in July!

On July 25, youth joined for a Youth Service Day. We started by serving our neighbor at the St. Marks Soup Kitchen. Then we drove to the Urban Ministry Center to learn about homelessness and what “The Urb” does to combat that problem.

On August 25, acolytes and crucifers met for training.  St. Mark’s has a wonderful tradition of including youth in leadership roles during worship, including as lectors, prayer assistants, communion assistants, ushers, sound system operators, acolytes, and crucifers.  We are proud of our youth and their devotion to serving God, neighbor, and the body of the Christ!

We look forward to a wonderful fall semester that is full of fellowship, great discussions, service activities, and fun!
