Jesus Christ “himself human, gave himself a ransom for all.” He did not seek his own power, profit or glory, but rather became a servant of all to show us what faithful leadership and servanthood look like. Jesus embodied God’s love for the poor and needy, and as Jesus was lifted onto the cross, he also lifts us with himself, mediating between God and humankind. Amid life’s temptations and challenges, may we seek to be faithful in all things entrusted to us, because by God’s gracious favor we have everything we need.
