“Pray always and do not lose heart.” Christ encourages all who follow him to a life of prayer. Like Jacob wrestling with the angel, when we prayerfully wrestle with God, we are blessed and strengthened. Paul warns us of the danger of looking for teachers who suit our own desires rather than wrestling with God’s desire for us. The life of faith encourages us to come regularly to Christ’s table, where we are strengthened for a life of prayer and service with Jesus.
