On Pentecost, we celebrate that we too are given the breath of the Holy Spirit and sent out to proclaim God’s redeeming love to all the world. The church is one body made up of many members, unified in our diversity through Jesus so that we too might hear and speak of God’s mighty deeds of power. Jesus says, “As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” We are sent bearing the peace and forgiveness of Christ for all the world.
