It is an age-old question: why is there evil in the world? In the parable of the wheat and the weeds Jesus suggests that both grow together until the harvest. To overlook suffering is to overlook Christ who suffers with us in this world. Having both wheat and weeds in the world frees us with hope to believe and to act for good in this world.
