Today we remember Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem and his crucifixion outside the gate of Jerusalem as the servant king. May we be of the same mind as Christ, who did not seek honor and accolade, but emptied himself of all privilege, humbling himself to become a servant of others. As we enter Holy Week, we walk the way of the cross with self-emptying love for our neighbor, giving our lives with the love of Christ for the world. This week, with all Christians, we look beyond our suffering, throwing our cares and concerns upon Jesus, saying, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”
