In conjunction with the ELCA’s “God’s Work, Our Hands Sunday” on September 10, Sunday School goers at St. Mark’s completed several service activities to serve our neighbors:
- We made 260 sandwiches to donate to the Urban Ministry Center
- We wrote letters to encouragement to Lutheran congregations in Houston and Louisiana who were affected by Hurricane Harvey
- We wrote letter to home-bound members of our congregation
- We re-covered the mattress that will be used in the winter by our homeless neighbors in the Room in the Inn program
What a great way to kick off the fall!
