Today’s gospel contains the story of a man born blind who was healed by Jesus. He said, “One thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see.” Jesus declares about himself, “I am the light of the world,” opening us to light in the world’s darkest valleys, light that no darkness can ever overcome. Today Paul also witnesses to us from Ephesians, “Walk as children of light.” To be in Christ Jesus is to become light in the darkness for others.
