Like Job, we live with moments of despair and weakness, yet like him, we also say, “I know that my redeemer lives.” Paul, too, encourages us to “stand firm and hold fast to the traditions you were taught.” In all of our work and words, it is Jesus Christ himself who comforts and strengthens us. Jesus liberates us with the good news that God is not the God of the dead but of the living, for by him all is us are made alive.
