Jesus gives us peace, but not as the world gives. With his peace, our hearts are not troubled or afraid, and early Christians like Lydia had their hearts opened by the Lord’s Spirit. We long for a day, as Revelation suggests, when the nations will walk by God’s light, sharing their glory and honor with God and one another.
