The welcome of Christ — the free gift of God’s love, grace and forgiveness — sets us free from the power of sin and death. Jesus promises that disciples who give even a cup of cold water to “these little ones” represent the welcome of Christ. Again today, we are sent out in mission as disciples of Christ to serve the little ones and the least of this world. We are to be a sign of God’s merciful welcome for all people.
