Our Youth have been engaging in lots of fun and worthwhile events!  Here are just a few of the highlights from this semester:

January 15: Youth and Parents met to watch and discuss the movie Minimalism.

February 5: Youth sponsored a Souper Bowl of Caring Soup Luncheon, and we raised $560 to donate to the Urban Ministry Center.

February 17-18: The Confirmation Class held a retreat at St. Mark’s and learned a lot about how God worked in Martin Luther’s life and in the life of the church.

March 19: Youth did an awesome job leading worship during Youth Sunday! We also held an auction fundraiser afterwards to raise money for our mission trip to Nashville, TN in July.

April 9: Youth led the Easter Egg Hunt for our children.

April 16: Youth helped lead the Dressing of the Altar during the Easter service.  If you’ve never been to the Easter service at St. Mark’s, it is awesome!

We also met for Sunday School each week to explore how God is working in the church, the world, and in our lives.

Youth continue to serve as acolytes, crucifers, lectors, prayer assistants, communion assistants, ushers, and sound operators. They are equal members in the church and contribute in so many ways.
