Your stewardship committee is pleased to announce an exciting change in how your gifts are inspired and conveyed to the ministries of St. Mark’s.
It’s a new ministry called: Stewardship For All Seasons.
Stewardship For All Seasons is a Synod-endorsed program that has been approved by Congregational Council. It’s a way for all of us to enhance our already robust culture of giving, by moving from a once-a-year “campaign drive” to holistic, integrated, and year-long church support.
Stewardship For All Seasons is different: it encourages us to look forward, to grow existing ministries, or even start new ones.
It promotes a culture of increasing generosity; it makes use of new methods of communication to inspire us all to give generously to St. Mark’s.
Stewardship For All Seasons encourages you to ask, for example:
What do we need for our building, in the short term and in the long term?
What areas of service should we grow—to help us serve the Charlotte of 2018… 2028?
What is God calling me to do?
Soon, you’ll hear more about Stewardship For All Seasons, but first, please take a minute to reflect and consider:
How does my giving level compare with other ways I use my money?
How adequately does my giving reflect my gratitude to God for all the blessings I receive?
How much more could I give if I really wanted to?
Thank you for this consideration. And thank you also for the many ways you give to St. Mark’s—whether it’s through your time, your prayers, or your special gifts.
Later this year, you’ll be invited to consider increasing your offering for the coming year. Please pray about this. We hope you will do your best to respond generously, as you are led by Christ.
