Long-time St. Mark’s member Virginia Stackel turned 100 years old on Sunday, January 7. St. Mark’s celebrated with her on January 14. Virginia shared encouraging words and stories from her life with the congregation, and the Congregation Life Committee held a birthday reception with her following the worship service.
Virginia is very active in ministry of St. Mark’s. Not only does she worship with the congregation almost every Sunday, but she also leads our lector ministry and even served on a NC Synod committee to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation in 2017.
St. Mark’s is proud of Virginia. We are blessed by her presence with us and wish her continued success in ministry and all her endeavors.
