In conjunction with the ELCA’s “God’s Work, Our Hands Sunday” on September 10, Sunday School goers at St. Mark’s completed several service activities to serve our neighbors:

  • We made 260 sandwiches to donate to the Urban Ministry Center
  • We wrote letters to encouragement to Lutheran congregations in Houston and Louisiana who were affected by Hurricane Harvey
  • We wrote letter to home-bound members of our congregation
  • We re-covered the mattress that will be used in the winter by our homeless neighbors in the Room in the Inn program

What a great way to kick off the fall!

Youth and adults make sandwiches to donate to the Urban Ministry Center, who give out up to 800 sandwiches per day to people in need.

Volunteers put new covers on Room in the Inn mattresses.
