The Young Adult Group (YAGers) at St. Mark’s seeks to provide opportunities for young adults in their 20’s and 30’s to learn and grow in their faith, to serve their community, and to socialize with each other. Events are offered at least once a month in one of three areas — learning, service, and fellowship.
Theology on Tap
St. Mark’s Young Adults meets every Thursday from 6 – 8 PM for Theology on Tap. Join us after work for informal theological conversation and followship at Luisa’s Brick Oven Pizza (1730 Abbey Place). We are currently discussing the texts included in the Luther Reading Challenge. To read along, click here.
The young adults gather every Sunday at 9:30 AM in the Small Conference Room for a class called “Bibles and Breakfast.” ANYONE is welcome (including those more young at heart than body!) and breakfast is provided!
There are many service opportunities open to the YAGers, including — but of course not limited to — serving once or twice a year at Room in the Inn, our ministry to our homeless neighbors.
Young Adult Retreat
In September, 2013, the young adults went on their first retreat together at Lutheridge Camp and Conference Center in Arden, NC.
All 20 and 30-somethings are welcome to participate in the Young Adult Ministry! Feel free to contact Pastor Emily with any questions or for more information.
