The Rev. Dr. Michael W. Frye is now serving as interim senior pastor for St. Mark’s.

Frye begin work at St. Mark’s April 2, 2017.

Frye retired as senior pastor of Grace Lutheran Church in Raleigh at the end of March.

Frye hails from Kannapolis and holds a bachleor’s degree from Lenoir-Rhyne University.

He holds a Master of Divinity from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, S.C.

In 1987 he received his Doctor of Ministry in Marriage and Family from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Philadelphia.

During his career, Frye has served churches in Salisbury (Gloria Dei Lutheran), Charlotte (Living Savior Lutheran), Dallas, Texas (Christ Lutheran), and Gastonia (Lutheran Chapel Church).

He came to Grace Lutheran in 2001.

He has been active in the N.C. Synod and currently serves on the Consultation Committee of the N.C. Synod and the N.C. Synod Council.
